What data we collect

The personal data we collect from you includes:

  • questions, queries or feedback you leave, including your email address if you contact ICEC.
  • your email address and subscription preferences when you sign up to our email alerts
  • how you use our emails – for example whether you open them and which links you click on
  • information on how you use the site, using cookies and page tagging techniques

We use Google Analytics software to collect information about how you use our websites (OUR WEBSITE). This includes IP addresses. The data is anonymised before being used for analytics processing.

Google Analytics processes anonymised information about:

  • the pages you visit on OUR WEBSITE
  • how long you spend on each OUR WEBSITE page
  • how you got to the site
  • what you click on while you’re visiting the site

We do not store your personal information through Google Analytics (for example your name or address).

We will not identify you through analytics information, and we will not combine analytics information with other data sets in a way that would identify who you are.

 

Why we need your data

We collect information through Google Analytics to see how you use the site and OUR WEBSITE services. We do this to help:

  • make sure the site is meeting the needs of its users
  • make improvements, for example improving site search

Comments

We do not allow comment on our website on any page published by default, If any page does allow comments, visitors will leave comments on the site we will collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Cookies

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

We do not store or keep any contact form data on our website. When you fill in any contact forms on our website, the data is forward via email to our Google Mail Account. This may change in the future. We will inform you of this change.
